Welcome to The Shop at the NFSB Annex
The Shop at NFSB, located at 169 Chestnut Street in Nutley, seeks to redefine thrifting. The light filled space maximizes store functions, and importantly too, provides an enjoyable experience for those who are browsing and buying. The venue enables expanded and diversified selections: upscale seasonal clothes and wearable accessories, an array of household items, small furniture pieces, and vintage or hard to find inventory from the practical (such as stemware and lamps) to the whimsical (such as costume jewelry & holiday decorations) are available. The Shop welcomes new and gently used items that we are proud to offer and our patrons are pleased to purchase.
WINTER WONDERLAND CONTINUES
We're happy to announce that we are keeping the doors to Winter Wonderland open during the week. Due to the success our opening days have generated and our large inventory, you can shop for holiday items during the weekly shop hours. We'll also offer infants' and children's clothing at a fantastic price of four for $1 (excluding all Holiday clothing). Sale lasts until December 4th. The weekly Shop hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Thursday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. NFSB cashier has final decision on all transactions. Funds raised from The Shop directly support services and programs offered at the Nutley Family Service Bureau.

The Thrift Shop was opened by the Board of Trustees in 1933 and from the outset was intended to both meet the needs of families in the community, and to be a source of funding for the Bureau. In late 1930's, the Thrift Shop closed its doors due in part, to the economic downturn of the Great Depression. In 1949, it was re-activated, and its doors have been open ever since.
- The Nutley Family Service Bureau is opened to the general public. It is staffed by a dedicated core of volunteers. It runs on gently used donated items. Merchandise is focused on family needs, therefore children's items such as toys and clothing are accepted in addition to a variety of goods, such as adult clothing including shoes and accessories, household items and small appliances. The location cannot accommodate furniture or appliances.
- For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept:
– Child gear:(such as car seats, cribs, high chairs, strollers).
– Electronics:(such as TVs, VCRs, PCs, monitors, printers
– Medical Devices: commodes, crutches, walkers - 100% of the funds raised from the NFSB Thrift Shop directly support the services and programs offered at the Nutley Family Service Bureau. Thank you for your patronage!
